This is no ‘stitch up’…
Our UK team were approached by a lovely lady who has played a part in the British Knitters attempted record for longest bunting. The current record they have to beat is 24,770ft 3inchs.
Due to the lockdown a local group of ladies have been busy knitting bunting flags but had no way of transporting their knitted pennants to the organiser in Exeter.
The Initial Okehampton branch is proud to say they have come to the rescue. 299 pennants were collected and transported to Exeter where they will be assembled before the Guinness World Record deadline.
The bunting is due to be strung and measured on 16th May and we will be keeping a close eye to see if they are successful in their record attempt.
Luv-ly.
